Isle of Wight Search and Rescue

WightSAR searches for missing vulnerable people and missing children.

WightSAR provides skilled volunteers to assist Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and other partner agencies in searches for vulnerable missing persons across the Isle of Wight.

WightSAR volunteers are on call 24/7 , 365 days a year to support the Police with life saving searches for vulnerable missing people, such as children & people with mental health issues or learning difficulties , those living with Dementia and anyone at the time of their disappearance is believed to be at risk of death or injury.

WightSAR is a member of Lowland Rescue and consists of professionally trained search teams and support members.

WightSAR receives no statutory funding and relies entirely on fundraising activities and donations.
