Tom Latchford, Chairman

Tom Latchford is CEO of Raising IT, the UK market leading website and fundraising platform, which is helping hundreds of charities raise millions of pounds. Tom is also Chairs the board of Belarus Free Theatre, an internationally acclaimed theatre company standing up for the basic right of universal self expression. Tom is a trustee of Hubbub, an environmental campaigns charity and volunteers each week at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is an international keynote speaker on fundraising and digital marketing.

Chris Dormer

Marcelle Speller, Founder and Philanthropic Supporter

Marcelle Speller is the founder of both Localgiving and the Localgiving Foundation. In 1996, Marcelle co-founded Holiday-Rentals.com, Europe’s leading website for advertising private holiday homes. When the company was sold, she attended a workshop at the Institute for Philanthropy, and was inspired to found Localgiving. In 2011, Marcelle was awarded an OBE for her services to the voluntary sector. In 2013, she was awarded a Beacon Fellowship for Pioneering Philanthropy and was named Philanthropist of the Year at Spear’s Wealth Management Awards. In 2014, she received an honorary DCL (Hons) from the University of East Anglia.

 


 

Chris Dormer

Chris Dormer, Managing Director

Chris has spent the last nine years working to support the local voluntary sector, raising millions in funding for capacity building and match fund programmes. Recognised across the sector as an expert on online fundraising for small charities, Chris regularly contributes at sector events and policy discussions. In his spare time, he volunteers with a number of local charities and runs an amateur football team.

Lewis Garland

Lewis Garland, Communications Manager

Lewis holds a MSc in Human Rights from the University of Birmingham and a BA in History and Politics from the University of Warwick. After failing to change the world as a musician, Lewis decided to pursue his passion for human rights and social justice in the not-for-profit sector. The last few years have variously seen him advocating for asylum seekers, working for a research group in Sri Lanka and managing projects in the UK disability sector. Outside of Localgiving Lewis can usually be found reading, writing or ranting; rummaging through second hand shops or twanging on steel strings. 

Conor Kelly

Conor Kelly, Partnerships & Programmes Manager

Conor joined Localgiving in 2016 originally as our Charity Training & Development Manager. Since then, has led the delivery of our London and national online fundraising support programmes working closely with our partners and funders. Prior to joining Localgiving, he worked on a variety of campaigns for the Democratic Party in New York. Conor has a BA (Hons) from the National University of Ireland and an MA from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He spends most of his free time getting lost in London's markets and studying part-time for an MRes at Birkbeck College, University of London.

Maryam Nahhal

Maryam Nahhal, Operations Coordinator 

Maryam recently graduated with an MLitt in International Security Studies at the University of St. Andrews, after completing a BA in International Relations at Queen Mary University. The past few years have seen her juggling degrees with advocacy on and off campus, as well as travelling across Europe. When not ranting about feminism, she can be found exploring niche exhibitions and plays around London, lifting weights at the gym or looking for the next plant to adopt.

Byron Geldard

Byron Geldard, Membership Coordinator 

Byron graduated with a BA (Hons) in Criminology in 2018 from Anglia Ruskin University. During his time at university he developed a passion for the Third Sector and went on to work with and fundraised for a variety of different charities.  Byron spends most of his time writing comedy routines.

Lauren Swain

Lauren Swain, Wales Development Manager

Lauren graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Having now made the city her home, she has joined Localgiving to help support small charities in South Wales. Prior to this Lauren was Fundraising Executive at The Funding Centre, providing fundraising consultancy to a range of charity clients. This work also included working as Interim Area Fundraising Manager for the MS Society for 1 year, focusing on community fundraising in Wales. Prior to joining The Funding Centre, she was selected to join Arts & Business Cymru’s fundraising internship programme for 2 years. Outside of work Lauren loves theatre, youth work, travelling and eating (although a fair amount of this is done in work as well).

Alex Kirillov

Alex Kirillov, Head of Technology

Alex graduated from the Queen Mary University of London in 2010 with a BSc in Computer Science. He is passionate about technology and enjoys using his skills for the benefit of the charity sector. When not tinkering with code, managing projects, automating himself and others or struggling with printers he enjoys the wind against his skin as he cycles around beautiful countryside of Buckinghamshire, playing music instruments (badly), writing or having a gaming sesh with friends. Working at Localgiving serves as a constant inspiration and a reminder that work can bring real and tangible benefits to local communities and people around you. 

Floyd Joseph

Floyd Joseph, Senior Web Developer

Floyd has a love for developing software and is excited about using technology to make a positive difference in local communities. The challenges and experiences Localgiving has to offer serves as a constant motivation.

 

Simisola Adejumo

Simisola Adejumo, Junior Web Developer

Simi is an apprentice Web Developer. After her A-levels Simi spent her time teaching herself code before pursuing a career in programming. She is eager to use her new skills to take on challenges to help local communities. She enjoys reading, watching movies, going to festivals and concerts.

Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our small, dynamic team and lead our efforts to achieve our revenue goals and develop more effective relationships with our customers. Leading the Business Development Team and sitting on our management team, the successful candidate will be target driven, strategic thinker who has the emotional intelligence to build stronger relationships with our key partners and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Localgiving revenue targets and forecasting, leading activities to grow our charity membership and increase donations through the platform
  • Identify new revenue generating opportunities, through new products and partnerships
  • Manage key customer accounts, including charities, charitable foundations and corporates
  • Lead the project management and delivery of key programmes and partnerships
  • Represent Business Development Team at Management Level
  • Line management of customer success and sales functions

 

What we are looking for:

  •  Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of three years of experience within a sales, partnerships or account management role
  • Experience managing key customer accounts
  • History of managing successful projects
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Interest in and understanding of the charity sector
  • Line management experience or evidence of leadership skills
  • Emotional intelligence and empathy
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • High-level of flexibility and self-motivation, with a genuine desire to make a difference and positive impact in local communities

Salary:  £30,000 to  £35,000 per annum based on experience

Marketing and Product Manager 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our small, dynamic team and lead our marketing and product development activities. The successful candidate will be an expert at using data to apply creative solutions to enable us to achieve our goals. They will be responsible for leading our marketing activities that enable us to grow and scale our organisation, whilst working across departments to manage the development of new products for our customers and support the process to bring them to the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the marketing and communications strategy
  • Build, execute and deliver digital marketing campaigns focused on demand generation and brand awareness
  • Create, analyse and report on email marketing communications
  • Manage content for website and analyse website traffic and sales data
  • Manage the development of new technical products and work with the Business Development Team to bring these to the market
  • Lead the launch and development of content for key programmes and fundraising campaigns
  • Represent the Marketing Team at Management Level

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of three years of experience within a marketing role
  • An excellent communicator that writes brilliant copy
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape and online marketing principles with proven online growth success
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Experience of working with email marketing software, preferably Mailchimp
  • Experience of working with a CMS and a good understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Experience of working in both B2B and B2C settings, preferably in an e-commerce environment
  • Experience of product management would be preferable; however, experience of project management, along with evidence of a strong attention to detail and organisational skills would be sufficient
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and use data to improve processes and results
  • An eye for design and experience using Photoshop

Customer Success Executive

 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our small, dynamic team and ensure that the charities using our services have the best experience possible.The successful candidate will be emotionally intelligent and a natural problem solver who will be responsible for supporting our customers to engage with our products, market themselves better and raise more money.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming contact from our customers via email and phone
  • Own customer issues and work closely with our Technical Team to ensure they are resolved appropriately
  • Be a customer advocate and support the development of new products and features
  • Support new charity members to get off to a strong start by helping them to feel confident about our product through proactive engagement
  • Support our activities to grow our charity membership
  • Keep our customers and networks proactively updated via social media, blogs and emails

What we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of one year’s experience within a sales, telesales or customer service role
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Experience of working with email marketing software, preferably Mailchimp, would be useful
