On Boxing Day 2015 devastating flooding occurred in Calderdale, affecting 2700 homes in Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge, Copley, Elland and Brighouse. This fund will help us to provide relief to those affected by the flooding.

How the funding will be spent

The first stage of support was to purchase cleaning equipment including (delivered to hubs in each area): The second stage of support has been to offer emergency grants of £200 for people affected by the flooding.The third stage of support will pay for white goods, electrical items, furniture, and support people with financial aid including recompensing costs associated to the recovery.

How this will benefit the community

Calderdale Flood Relief Fund is for households who suffer financial hardship as a result of the flooding. The money will also help with wider community relief and rebuilding projects. The Calderdale Flood Fund is open to anyone whose home has suffered damage / flooding as well as people who have lost work or income because of the storm or flood.
