Interchange Sheffield is a counselling and emotional well-being service for children and young people under 25. As well as counselling and art therapy, we offer therapeutic group work, supervision and training. We are currently developing an online offer to add to our face to face work, and are fundraising both for that new service and to be able to bridge the gap for those young people that may require longer term support, or who don't meet the criteria for our core services.
Why the community needs usInterchange Sheffield currently works in both schools and community settings, providing upwards of 100 counselling sessions per week. Professionals who refer to us, and the young people who come for counselling feed back that counselling can make a real difference to their lives. We have a service user/Mental Health Ambassador group who help shape our services and campaign for improvements in mental health services for young people, both locally and nationally.
