Providing a lifeline of support for families affected by autism in and around Bristol
Bristol Autism Support provides in-person, online and telephone support and information for parents and carers of autistic children, either diagnosed or awaiting diagnosis, in Bristol, and surrounding areas. We run support groups, advice drop-ins, courses and events. We have a comprehensive website full of information about autism and local services and support.
Why the community needs usLearning that your child has autism can be a very scary time, with a steep learning curve. Friends and family may not understand or accept your child's diagnosis. Parents and carers of autistic children can feel very isolated and frightened about the future. We offer a huge range of accessible support to help reduce this isolation and improve the confidence and mental wellbeing of the people we support.
Our impact on the communityThrough our meetings, courses, events, online, email and telephone support, we help around 1,000 parents and carers each year.
