The Overseas Chinese Association - Elderly People's Club is a place for the Chinese elders to socialise and to seek help where needed. Every Tuesday and Thursday during opening sessions, there is a member of staff on hand to coordinate various activities and to keep the elders informed of, and help provide access to, the local welfare and support available to them within Bristol.
Why the community needs usThe Elderly People's Club provides a range of services to help them, from language support and translation to health and social care. Various activities from English lessons and arts and crafts sessions, to outdoor walking and exercise classes are held to help improve the health and well being of the mind and body. For many the club acts like their second home and family where they can feel a sense of belonging, and helps them to better interact within the wider community.
