DCP - working together to support people in need.
Durham Christian Partnership supports a diverse selection of people in the community from all faith groups and beliefs. Working together with other organisations in County Durham, we have a variety of projects responding to identified local needs, making a positive difference in the lives of people living in or visiting County Durham.
Why the community needs usEveryone needs a helping hand sometimes; whether it's a listening ear during a tough time, practical support to maintain a person's safety on the streets at night, or an emergency food parcel to help people in a crisis. Our aim is to serve and care for people in the community by providing emotional support and practical help to all in need, with a non-judgemental approach and empathy with people from all social backgrounds.
Our impact on the communityFoodbank provides emergency food for people in crisis. StreetLights show God's love by offering practical and emotional support to people on the streets at night. Cathedral Listeners provide a sympathetic ear, ready to listen without judgement. Learning in Partnership informs and educates people from all walks of life on a variety of issues such as dementia and domestic abuse and equips people to support those affected.
