Accessible Holistic Health - supporting improved mental and physical health

Shanti Bee offers accessible complementary & alternative health. We look at health holistically with a range of offerings.

Our activities, priced on a sliding scale are proven to considerably support both mental and physical health, providing a foundation for empowering individuals' well-being choices.

From our base in South Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne and with outreach we provide services to, but not exclusively for, those at risk of or suffering with ill-mental health or social exclusion.

Since establishment in 2016 we have developed a timetable with over 15 weekly classes, a space we hire out and a one to one therapeutics timetable Monday - Wednesday.

Why the community needs us?

We have grown alongside a community of people who visit the centre, on average twice weekly. Some regulars have been attending our therapy sessions weekly since we opened and never missed one session.
We support people in transient stages, people with chronic pain, anxiety, depression. Our members include all ages and walks of life.
We host a lot of personal emotional development workshops, mindfulness yoga and a range of health therapies - all of our services are accessible for varying levels and all are low cost.

We run community markets, clothes swaps. We hire the centre out to local organisations as we are known as a 'safe space'.

The initiatives we offer support the whole community, helping find suitable well being whilst engaging safely with others.

Volunteers needed

We are looking for volunteers to take on Marketing, Accountancy and social media roles.
