About the appeal

The BRLSI building has closed in response to the multiple challenges of COVID-19, resulting in disruption to its evening talks programme and the care of its rich geological and ethnological collection of world importance and renown. To help BRLSI weather this storm the institution needs your continued support. Thank you!

How the funding will be spent
With the building shut, BRLSI have a substantially reduced income.The money will be spent on helping BRLSI reopen in due course and deliver some of the programme virtually while the building is closed.

How this will benefit the community
The Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution is an independent treasure existing for the promotion of Science, Literature and Art in the City of Bath and surrounding areas. BRLSI is non profit making and provides world class lectures for as little as £2.00 a ticket. They provide a community hub and maintain a rich geographical and ethnological collection of world renown and importance. BRLSI champions Heritage projects out in the wider community and host visiting art exhibitions.
