Discovering you are losing your sight can be devastating. Somerset Sight is here to give support at such a time and help people of all ages with sight loss to live as full and independent a life as possible.
Our services include;a resource centre and a mobile resource unit, social & leisure activities, information points in Tauton and Yeovil hospitals, a visiting service, a talking book library, a radio loan scheme, sight loss awareness sessions and training for the public
Why the community needs usWe are a self funding charity which provides services, training and leisure activities right across the county.
Isolation is a significant problem to people with Sight Loss. We aim to encourage our members to meet people and become part of their communities again.
Our impact on the communityWe help maintain the independence, reduce the isolation and improve the quality of life to over 2500 visually impaired members and their families.
