Sounds Better CIC provides participatory music and movement projects and workshops for people living with longer term health conditions (including dementia, respiratory conditions and mental health conditions), learning disability and we also bring communities together through intergenerational music making. We provide training and mentoring to people who wish to start working musically, or develop their existing community music practice.
Why the community needs us
We provide social, musical and creative opportunities for people who are living with long term conditions and learning disability and who are often socially isolated. We enable people to improve their quality of life, creating healthier, happier people, families and communities. We work in areas that are rural or socially deprived, and where people are geographically and socially isolated. We are also the only organisation currently providing community respiratory support services outside of healthcare.
