We work with vulnerable young people in the Rochdale community who are at most risk of offending or re-offending. We provide positive and inspiring dance based recreational activities and development opportunities for participants to become mentors & tutors, leading onto the possibility of paid employment through a range of structured dance, performing arts and creative arts programmes.
Our activities go way beyond the arts with an underlying aim of encouraging longer term involvement.
Why the community needs usBased in Rochdale, ADPA welcomes referrals from various organisations and agencies within the local community. Programme participants can expect to be inspired to enjoy performing arts, creative arts and enterprise projects in ways they may previously have thought impossible.
Our impact on the communityBy steering young people away from ant-social behaviour and or offending / re-offending the community becomes a safer place for all, participants enjoy an increased sense of self-worth and improved employment prospects.
