At Advocates and Angels, our goal is to empower people who are advocating for their child with disabilities and or medical complex needs; whatever stage they are at. Our goal is to create a community and raise awareness of the needs of advocates and all the amazing work they do and to run support groups to those in need.

We have designed free medical binders and home management binders to ease the juggle of mental notes that comes with caring for a child 24/7. These have already been distributed to many families and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Our main focus as a charity is creating and distributing “Chrysalis care packages”. These are emergency bags of essentials for parents who have had to call an ambulance and walked out of the house without anything. They are designed to go into the smaller hospital wards and units that aren’t as well equipped as the larger ones and don’t receive as much funding.

When, or if, a child passes away, we have the butterfly club. We give out bereavement packages as a commemorative gift but our main aim is to let families know that there is still a club for them; which they are welcome to be apart of forever if they want to be. Our club is a place to chat to other butterfly families and know they are not alone.
