Age Exchange is the UK's leading reminiscence arts charity. We support carers of older people, in particular those with dementia, by providing group activities throughout the week and one-to-one tailored support for carers in the community. Our aim is to keep the person with dementia living at home by maintaining the health and wellbeing of the carer.
Why the community needs usHURRY! The first 22 donations of £25 will be DOUBLED by Localgiving, meaning your support will go TWICE as far to keep our services for people living with dementia, and their carers, running and continuing to grow. Age Exchange's 'Caring Together' service, including Day Care in two locations and a Sunday group, is the only of its kind that remains completely free for the people of Lewisham, Greenwich, Southwark, and surrounding areas.
Our impact on the communityWe offer 4000 hours of support and activity for carers and people with dementia, 700 hours of activity classes for older people.
