We focus on the individual needs of local older people, drawing on our wide range of services to offer the best possible help, support and advice.
Why the community needs usWe are committed to improving the quality of life of local people, their carers and families across a number of local and diverse communities. Our services include Lunch Clubs, Resource 'Drop In' Centre and Day Centre. Health & Wellbeing services such as home visiting, befriending, shopping and cleaning and domiciliary care. Advocacy, information and advice services to include community and hospital advocacy. Practical assistance from qualified people for Handyperson services and gardening.
Our impact on the communityAge Concern Slough & Berkshire East focuses on 3 primary objectives: to be the principle champion for the rights of older people; to campaign tirelessly to secure a strong coordinated voice for those we support; to provide quality, trusted services that enrich the lives of the people in the communities in which we work.
There are a number of ways you can volunteer. You could lend a hand at an event, provide administration support, lend a helping hand in one of our many charity shops or run your own local fundraising activity
