Our purpose is to help cancer patients and their families during these stressful times. We can sit with them at appointments, we can talk to them if they are on a ward, we can advocate them to a number of different services and we can contact them at home to provide phone support. In November 2021 we launched our home support service where we can provide the same support but in your own home. Chatting to patients and their families can really help. In June 2022 we launched our online community hub called Al's Pals and ME. This is a safe environment where people can chat to inspire others and be inspired, sharing their cancer journey can really help others as well as helping those going through it. In September 2022 we launch our first support group which ensures that no one faces cancer alone with Al's Pals by their side. Our aim is to alleviate any stress in any way that we can.

Why the community needs us
We benefit the community of Milton Keynes and surrounding areas by providing cancer support to the ever growing number of people getting cancer. Just by having someone else to talk to that has perhaps gone through this means everything to the patient and their family.

Our impact on the community
Over 2 years we have supported thousands of patients and their families and our home support service is growing daily. It is vital that these services continue so no one has to face cancer alone. We want to support patients and their families at this scary time and hope they know that we are there for them no matter what facing the daily challenges with them and supporting them in every way that we can.
