FUTyoURES: Genesis Stars School Colombia

Genesis Stars school runs daily and is one of the schools involved in the #FUTyoURES project linking Northern Ireland & Colombia. #FUTyoURES is a Peace programme aimed at developing a shared creative model for conflict transformation that meets the needs, interests and expectations of young people from territories emerging from conflict. At the heart of the project is the Arts affirming the synergy between People and the Natural Environment around them.

Why they need our service

Genesis Stars is a free school in Arauca Colombia (Venezuela border) providing uisng music as a tool to provide an education for children with social needs. The school also provides meals prepared by volunteers.

Plan and expected results

Support for Genesis Star School will assist towards a wage for teachers (most volunteer thier time), and will provide meals and music instruments. Over 100 children attend the school www.beyondskin.net/futyoures
