Welcome centre

£30 pays for someone to be seen by our specialist advocacy service to get their claim restarted and exit destitution £70 pays for lunch for 100 people for one week £100 pays for a BHN member to get trained in Food hygiene and learn the catering trade as a volunteer

Why they need our service

BHN has a welcome centre each Monday for asylum seekers and refugees and we welcome over 100 people to eat a hot lunch with us, attend ESOL Classes, specialist advocacy team, art table, barber shop, games, breakfast club, choir and herbal medicine to name a few!

Plan and expected results

We will provide our weekly welcome centre and: 1. Provide our specialist advocacy service 2. provide over 5000 meals in the year 3. Get our members trained up so they can get work once they have leave to remain

BHN is always looking for volunteers to join a small, dedicated team supporting our men's house in Fishponds, cooking, teaching English, Maths or IT skills or running creative sessions at our Welcome Centre in Easton
