Providing fitness, health, good will and team spirit within the communities of Boscastle and Crackington Haven and their surrounding areas. We have active rowers from 11 to 68. We get out on the lakes, in the gym, but our primary training ground is out on the Atlantic, off the North Cornwall coast.
Why the community needs usThere are not many sports facilities in our rural area, but what is here is the sea, the coast, the sky and great local people. Gig racing brings it all together. Everyone is welcome, young or old, fit or less so.
Our impact on the communityWe have brought our membership up from 14 at the start of 2013 to over 70 now and we are growing strongly. We have teams of juniors, adult rowers, vets and supervets. It is now time to build a super new racing gig. We are looking to fundraise the roughly £25K required.
