Calderdale SmartMove assist the homeless & vulnerably housed people to find accommodation in Calderd

Established in 1998, we provide a high quality, client-centred service assisting homeless & vulnerable people by securing sustainable homes & developing services that address unmet needs. We provide a bond guarantee & tenancy support scheme for single homeless people & families in Calderdale. Our aim is to empower people to live independently and to give them the skills to successfully maintain their tenancies. We are also a Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Centre & provide free courses.

Why the community needs us
SmartMove benefits by providing accommodation for local vulnerable people and bringing them back from the outskirts of society and feel empowered to give back a positive contribution to the community. We also provide many different courses such as healthy lifestyles, grow your own fruit & veg on our allotment, IT skills, job clubs, yoga, help with reading and writing, money management, arts & crafts and training to ultimately return to gainful employment.

96% of our clients maintain their tenancy following our support over a 12 month period.
