Like many arts organisations we are currently facing financial challenges, relating to COVID-19. Your donation could help us as we face an uncertain future. We work with young people to create age appropriate productions to the highest possible standard. We are an open access, community organisation. We do not charge for participation. Our activities include everything that goes to make up an opera, onstage and backstage. Many of the young people who take part have never experienced opera before. We welcome a diverse range of children and young people from across the community in which we work. By providing easily accessible, exciting activities, we open up what is often considered an exclusive art form, cultivate the arts as a natural part of daily life, and grow the confidence of our participants. We believe that opera is ideal for this, as it encompasses such a variety of elements and the opportunity to thrill, move and amuse both participants and audiences. Why the community needs us
Our activites bring together a range of young people living parallel lives in Cambridge and the surrounding area. We build the confidence and provide a supportive environment for all participants. We enable children and young people to engage with arts professionals across a range of disciplines, enriching their lives and those of their families, schools and the wider community. Our easily accessible productions bring enthusiastic new audiences to an artform which is often considered exclusive. Our impact on the community
