Your gift could treat an unpaid carer to a well-deserved celebration evening - with a delicious meal, live entertainment and fun with fellow carers. The Celebration Party will take place in late January 2020. Your donation would help host the evening which as many as 150 carers may attend. Show an unpaid carer you care and treat them to a rightly earned party!

Why they need our service Carers can experience many challenges as a result of their caring role, e.g. Long hours: most new carers who approach Carers Network provide 50+ hours of care per week. Loneliness: 8 out of 10 carers have felt lonely or isolated (Carers UK). Financial strain: 2 in 5 carers who have been caring 15 years or more may struggle to pay their bills.
Plan and expected results An evening out can give an unpaid carer a well-earned break from their caring role. It can also help to break potential cycles of social isolation, helping carers connect with fellow carers so they can bond as a community. Bringing carers together in such social occasions builds rapport with Carers Network, so carers feel more comfortable approaching us for support in their times of real need.
