Providing 'free' variety concerts for elderly people, creating a strong sense of well-being for all.
To produce and organise 'free' variety concerts for the 'Young at Heart' especially for over 60 years of age. These events are open to all ethnic groups who would like to attend, also those disabled and their carers. Entertaining elderly people through music and drama, so creating a great sense of awaremness and experiencing enjoyment and lifting the mood of everyone involved, both those performing and also those interacting. A wonderful experience, to touch hearts of those we care about.
Why the community needs usElderly, vulnerable, diasabled people all need to experience a feeling of self-worth, love, joy and warmth, the Concert for the Young at Heart provides all these in abundance for free!
It is vital that these concerts continue so that as many as possible share in what we have to offer.
Our impact on the communityThe Sing for Fun ladies group now meet each week and share an exhilerating, rewarding and challenging pastime where they have developed a strong community and family feeling. Many other voluntary and charity groups are now involved and we all work together towards a common aim - to provide 'free' concerts for those who cannot afford to see live shows. An excellent support network of people working together creating a solid community for the good of all.
