We support bereaved adults and young people in Reading, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor, Wokingham and surrounding areas. Our highly trained and experienced bereavement volunteers provide confidential support, either one-to-one or as part of a bereavement group. We help anyone who has experienced loss to understand their grief and cope with that loss. We also provide training and consultancy for professionals and organisations. Our services are offered free but donations are welcome.
Why the community needs usUnresolved grief, sudden and traumatic death can result in both physical and mental health problems, loneliness and isolation. Cruse Thames Valley Berkshire supports people's emotional and social well-being to help them remain an active part of their family and community. We often see people in their own homes, so are able to visit those who would otherwise find it difficult to get support.
Our impact on the communityWe provide comprehensive training for those wishing to become a bereavement volunteer. We also need administrative support, help with publicising what we do and help with fundraising. Please get in touch if you would like to join us.
