1 of a Kind

We meet every week in a local woodland and run ecology projects, manage the woodland and also help develop new ideas such as self selection feeding patches for animals. We take part in training schemes and have set up our own business making craft items to sell at markets. We are currently saving up to build ourselves a workshop where we can continue to develop our skills

Why they need our service

We are a group of young people with disabilities that run a weekly rural skills volunteer group. Together we learn new things such as woodland management and animal care. We challenge stereotypes of what it means to be disabled and work for our charity helping them get things right for young people.

Plan and expected results

We would like to be able to develop our business so that we can run it full time. We have also signed up with a local university so that we can get our diplomas in Ecology. We would also like to attract new volunteers and help support them.
