We provide an accessible Day Centre for vulnerable adults who need support to tackle their problems
Daylight Centre Fellowship (DCF) is a local independent charity whose reputation for helping adults has grown steadily since 1994. We provide an accessible Day Centre for adults who need support, whether this is linked to housing difficulties, or need for companionship and assistance with developing purposeful activities, healthier lifestyles, building relationships of friendship and other routes towards enhancing quality of life. New - we plan soon to expand our provision of food parcels. Why the community needs us
Our VISION is that all members of our society will be valued, and know they are valued, and be able to access the support and services they need to achieve this. Our MISSION is to offer time, space and practical guidance to people that enables them to tackle the problems that limit their quality of life. TIME to talk & be listened to; time to help unravel complex problems & identify practical steps towards solutions. SPACE that is welcoming, clean & comfortable, inexpensive & non-judgemental.Our impact on the community
Case Studies on our website testify to our impact upon damaged lives. The demand for our help rises with food and fuel poverty. What we are able to provide for all those who come through our open door is warmth and shelter and a good meal. On a typical day, we see 36 people and provide 17 hot meals. Partnership work with other agencies helps with skills, jobs, available housing and practical tasks.
