Since the Trust gained charitable status in 1988 it has supported numerous projects and activities at DCGS. At a time when high academic achievement is the norm we have looked at the qualities necessary to give our students the edge in a competitive world. The solution to this lies within the qualities associated with extra-curricular activities. We want to improve our facilities through our 'Perfect Pitch' Campaign allowing us to promote learning outside the classroom effectively.
Why the community needs usWe know our students achieve well in examinations, but this is not the whole picture. We want to give our students the very best opportunities and experiences to excel. Our staff give of their time to run activities outside the classroom, but need the spaces in which to do this. Our astroturf surface is badly worn and requires urgent replacement. The roof of the music department is failing and the building has scant heating. It needs refurbishment and expansion to meet the need of our students.
Our impact on the communityWith your help, we can transform these spaces and safeguard their futures for thousands of students in the years to come. Thank you for your support.
