We are trying to make B&NES Dementia Friendly.
We are trying to make Banes dementia friendly. We do this by engaging with businesses, groups and organisations and asking them to become members and make 3 pledges to become dementia friendly. We also engage with the needs of people living with dementia and help to increase the number of activities that are available for people living with dementia. We promote what services are available for people with dementia and their carers.
Why the community needs usWe benefit the local community in a huge way. 70% of people living with dementia live in the community and 80% of these people feel they are isolated or no longer part of the community. We want to change this and with your help we can.
Our impact on the communityWe want to help support the large number of people living in B&NES with dementia and their carers. We are in the processor producing a book of services and we need funds to be able to produce the book which will be available free of charge at all GP surgery amounts other outlets.
We want enthusiastic people who wish to help us create a dementia friendly B&NES... whatever your skill set I'm sure you could help us!!!
