Our impact on the communityMr. and Mrs. M aged 84 live in a house owned by their son. They gave him their life savings to pay for it and now pay him a small monthly rent. The son fell into debt and was made bankrupt. Creditors obtained a Possession Order and Mr M suffered a stroke worrying about losing their home. We persuaded the Bank not to enforce the Order, and Mr. and Mrs. M have been able to stay in their home. They are not eligible for Legal Aid and without us acting for them, would have lost their home.
