The charity was founded by the parents of people with learning disabilities, almost 50 years ago, with the aim to protect and enhance the rights and life chances of children and adults with learning disabilities in Eastleigh and in Romsey, and to support their carers to continue caring.
Why the community needs us
We are a local independent charity running a number of activities in the region aimed at supporting people with learning disabilities who live with their families, in supported housing or independently. Our current projects include:The Chill Out Club, Active Citizens, Gardening Club, Flagship Art Club and Basketball Club (Eastleigh Hot Shots). Details about all of these activities are available on our website.
Our impact on the community
Through these projects we are able to offer people with LD opportunities to socialise, be safe, be active and to have a voice about issues affecting them.
