Why the community needs usWe have provide the following: Information, advocacy and advice to parents/ carers of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs. We signpost families to specific people and or organisations who can provide individual direct support. We provide families with the opportunity to take part in day trips and activity days. We help parents/ carers to engage with commissioners and service providers to ensure the services their children access are really needs based led.
Our impact on the communityTo ensure that the lives of the children and young people is a safe and happy one, and that their future is a brighter one with all our voices together ensuring what is needed for them transpires and in doing so leaving a legacy for generations to come. We also aim to bring parents and carers together to have a strong voice ensuring the future for our children and young people is a good one. To raise awareness of unmet needs and ensure parents and carers have the opportunity to raise issues
We are a charity for families with children/ young people with a disability/ additional needs run by parents, for parents and on behalf of parents. There are no paid staff and the trustees are themselves parents of children and young people with a disability/ additional needs. Volunteers are always needed to ensure we can keep providing services to the community. Alternatively visit our website or phone our secretary to leave a message.
