We provide a fun, safe environment in which youngsters can improve their confidence & life skills.
The aim of the club is to help educate young people through their leisure-time activities.
We aim to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they grow to full maturity as well rounded individuals and members of society and that their condition of life may be improved.
Why the community needs usWe are a small rural village with a mix of diverse people from all classes. We aim to educate the children about this diversity and to harmonize their approach to village life.
We believe that the community benefits from our work as it helps to create a safer environment.
It gives young people a sense of purpose and somewhere to go that is constructive to their development and to the community as a whole.
Our impact on the communityAround 40 young people use our service every week.
As a result of a baby sitting class run over 6 weeks at the club one person has chosen a career working with children. They all recieve certifcates that can be used as part of a CV when appling for employment.
We sometimes get help from young people who are doing a Duke of Edinburgh award while stil at school.
We are always looking for volunteers. To give children a safe, enjoyable, learning and character-moulding experience week after week.
Skill and experience: a CRB check is required; an understanding of childrens needs and the ability to deliver them also. No formal qualifications are necessary but their attainment is encouraged.
