Enable people who are disadvantaged by illness, lack of confidence, disability, cost, caring responsibilities and bereavement to become more self-sufficient, confident, knowledgeable and integrated with the local community.
Why the community needs usPeople in Fakenham and surrounding areas are able to access and use services related to health and well being which would otherwise be inaccessible to them. Services include various support and interest groups as well as Theme days when specialist agencies attend to speak with the public face to face.
Our impact on the communitySince our inauguration we have expanded into a much more rounded organisation which includes more support and help for vulnerable people. We run a club for survivors of strokes, and a club for people who suffer from diabetes. We also have a resident representative from Disability Rights Norfolk (DRN) in attendance every Thursday. Recently First Focus has organised a Coeliac support group.
We also organise a regular programme of Interest Clubs and Theme Days.
