-To provide opportunities for the local community to be actively involved in their local park- To act as a channel for Friends members and other Park users to provide feedback on the Park to the Council and other interested organizations- To carry out specific projects, with the City Council's approval, to enhance the park and its facilities
Why the community needs usBeneficiaries of our activities are local residents & users of the Rec. The users of the Rec are diverse & people come from beyond the local community to use the park or walk their dogs. Our work brings together the local community through enhancing the recreation ground & organising events which attract & introduce local residents to the park. Using the skills & talent of the local community is really important
Our impact on the communityWe welcome volunteers both to help with organising our annual community event and to support projects around the park.
