About Global Generation:
Founded in 2004, we are an environmental education charity that connects people to nature in the middle of the city. We have been co-creating gardens with the local community since 2009, starting with our first Skip Garden, showcasing how disused urban spaces can become an oasis for plants and people to grow. What started as an experiment on temporary land, has grown into 4 moveable community gardens, each bigger and more ambitious than the last. Our builds embody circular economy approaches, reclaiming and reusing materials wherever possible. We also support a further 40 gardens on the public realm, in local schools and estates.

Our new permanent site - The Triangle Site:
In 2024 we start construction on our first fully permanent garden on what is currently known as the Triangle site. The site, just off York Way, is in an area where access to green, safe spaces is low and social deprivation levels are high. We are committed to ensuring that the new garden will be co-created by the local community, many of whom experience social, racial and environmental inequalities daily. The new site presents an opportunity to create a space that will benefit local people and the natural world.

Our impact:
We provide safe green spaces full of adventure for young and old alike in the middle of London in areas of regeneration and change. Every year we work with around 5,000 children, young people and their families directly in our gardens in Camden, Islington and Southwark, and reach a further 5,000 through outreach and events. Through participating in our activity, people build their confidence, learn skills, form new friendships and develop practical ways to have a positive impact on the world around them.
