Gul Riverside Development Plan
In 2021/22 Gul is embarking on its most ambitious fundraising project to date, to bring POWER to Riverside. After 12 years at the site, doing the best we can with our Gas stoves and Solar Panels Gul needs to expand further to offer a better service to its users.
Mains Power to the site, Sadly Gul's Solar panels will just not cut it for the energy demands of a modern office or lighting for our arenas/ stables (£20,000) A fully equipped office large enough for 4 people with a quiet meeting room to host remote tuition sessions, youth workers and any other hosting type functions. (£15,000) Improvements to the car parking and reception areas (£5,000) If we are successful enough, improvements to Gul's riding arena. ( Stretch Goal, up to £50k)
Infrastructure, we need to lay the foundations for the new project, this means fundraising, applying for planning consent (this is already granted) and bringing mains power and utilities to the site. Construction, in this phase Gul will purchase the materials needed, construct the new buildings, connect the existing buildings up to the grid and make any adjustments to the drive and carparking. Implementation: this means moving in, shifting the office and personnel to new buildings and repurposing the existing spaces to make them better for users.
