Supporting wellbeing and independence for those experiencing homelessness in Stockport
H3 brings together a combination of temporary accommodation residents, staff working with the homeless, and other local support agencies to pool resources, expertise and help people to move on. We develop and deliver projects with and for local people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. These activities focus on preventing and relieving the effects of homelessness and reducing social and financial exclusion.
Why the community needs usH3 impacts on the lives of its beneficiaries in a wide range of ways from housing to wellbeing, skills and education. We increase confidence and sense of stability; enable access to skills development; reduce social and financial exclusion; increase sense of self-worth and wellbeing. These impacts have a wider effect on our beneficiaries lives, the lives of those who care for and support them, and their local community.
Our impact on the communityOur Hospital Project ensures safe discharge for homeless patients and supports them to connect and engage with community health interventions. We run a Peer Mentor to Wellbeing and a wide range of wellbeing activities that enable people to build health, stability, be active and connect.
