Community day support services for individuals families parents and young people with complex needs.

The charity's principle activity is the operation of day support recovery facilities for persons in the community with multiple and complex needs around the problematic use of alcohol and other substances and/or alcohol, We provide support for their families and friends. The secondary activity is to alternative education support to those young people who are unable to attend mainstream school provision or are at risk of exclusion. Hamoaze provides after school clubs, Fit n Fed Programme, Night Shelter Residential provision for those currently rough sleeping, Lopwell Dam visits for users of our services and open and fun days for our local communities.

Hamoaze House has been established within the community of Devonport and Mount Wise since 2001. This is the only provision citywide in Plymouth who provides bespoked individualised care plans, co-produced within the individual client and staff member. We are open Monday to Friday 9 - 5 pm and the Night Shelter provision for rough sleepers is open 7 nights a week. This provision provides a safe shelter from those vulnerable and at risk whilst sleeping on the streets. The day support services provide a safe, warm, structured, friendly, authentic environment with a particular focus on relationships between staff and those using services reducing the imbalance of power and therefore creating an milieu where people are able to come to gain structure, safety, routine and opportunities for sustainable change. Volunteers needed

Anyone whether part time or full time to assist in our Charity Shop, onsite Coffee Box providing barista style coffee to members of the local community, gardening, DIY house maintenance.
