Thrive Training

Teachers and teaching assistants train to become Thrive Practioners. Teachers put what they have learned into a whole class practice, while teaching assistants frequently deal on an individual level giving support and training. If you want to fund a particular school please let us know.

Why they need our service

We want to train as many teachers as possible to be Thrive Practitioners, so that we can help local children have the best start in life. Thrive helps to build emotional resilience and enable struggling children to cope with learning in the classroom. Training costs £3,000 per teacher and gives teachers that extra help they need to cope with special factors affecting many of our children through poverty and deprivation.

Plan and expected results

Hastings schools which have taken a whole Thrive approach have seen a significant reduction in exclusions over 3 years. A Thrive approach is a long-term approach which helps everyone in the class, because it reduces disruption from children struggling to overcome their barriers to learning. The great thing about resilience training on such a profound level is that children will become adults who can thrive in their relationsips and a workplace.
