Small charity that provides a community farm for people of all ages with various disabilities. Horse riding is an integral part of the farm experience. Member of the Riding for the Disabled Assoc. Gardening is the other main activity.Why the community needs us
Our aim is to bring people of all ages and with various disabilites into contact with farm animals and the joy of gardening. They develop skills and gain confidence through their work. Three main activities are encouraged horse riding, gardening and being in close contact with farm animals such as chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, horses and other small animals. Many are really fond of grooming the small animals and also grooming the horses and ponies.Our impact on the community
Our clients really enjoy their time at the farm as they can get involved with the day to day running of the farm. All our people are given the opportunity to thrive in a caring, nourishing enviroment where they can display their abilities through practical skills.
We are looking for committee members to help with fundraising,gardeners to help maintain our raised beds,handymen to help about the farm, volunteers to lead rein our Riding for the Disabled sessions.
