The Heroes Project has been operating successfully since 1998, becoming officially registered as a charity in 2013. We provide a number of exciting arts based & social inclusion initiatives that serve to engage people with learning disabilities in ways that provide opportunity, encourage inclusion & recognise equality. Such opportunities help to build skills, assist personal development & enhance overall quality of life for members of the UK's most deprived community who are often overlooked!
Why the community needs usOur work aims to combat many of the issues & lack of opportunities faced by people with learning disabilities. It is delivered via a range of initiatives that serve to counter social injustice & help to improve overall quality of life. Opportunities include: Creative Music Making & Studio Recording Experiences - Radio Broadcasting opportunities including Production & Presentation plus our award winning inclusive Club Night's! We are also beginning to look at many other involvement opportunities!
