High Sheriff's Charity Ride supporting Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Community Foundations
The High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire Joe Barclay will be supporting the work of Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Community Foundations, by riding his bicycle from the south to the north of the county beginning 12 May and finishing 20 May. On his way Joe will visit local charity groups the Community Foundations have helped with much needed funds. Please help to spur Joe on by making a generous gift so that the Community Foundations can support more people in our communities who need help.
Why the community needs usThere are many volunteers working hard to make a difference and their contribution is vital to the well-being of our communities. Our aim is to reach a wider audience and attract the support these communities need to benefit local people. We are raising funds for charities in MK and Bucks with all donations being equally shared between the two areas. Your donation will support the work of Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Community Foundations.
Our impact on the communityYour donation will be matched by an initiative called Community First, these being funds the Community Foundations secured from the government to encourage philanthropic giving. For every £2 you donate £1 will be added by the Government scheme plus Gift Aid. To give you an idea, £10 donated will increase to £17.50, a £100 donation will increase to £175, and so on.
