At Hollymount we have a strong and dynamic Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
The purpose of Hollymount PTA is to advance the education of pupils in the school by:developing effective relationships among the staff, parents and others associated with Hollymount school, and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
Why the community needs usParents and staff work together to provide fund raising activities, social functions and educational evenings, including children's discos, cinema night, cake sales, quiz nights and Christmas and summer fairs.
Our impact on the communityThe PTA raises significant amounts of money each year for the school, funding resources and activities which provide a wider, richer and memorable experience for the pupils. eg: to build the school reading bus (library), redevelop the playground, provide mental health programmes and activities to enrich the school curriculum such as themed education weeks, inspirational guests, fun workshops and drama productions.
We need people to help with all sorts of jobs from helping organise events, to people to sort 2nd hand uniform and we are always looking for tradespeople for lots of different odd jobs.
