Home-Start Warrington

We support families with young children in Warrington, with the help of volunteer support.

Our trained parent volunteers offer 3 hours support each week to one linked family. Our aim is to address the issue(s) that the family was referred in to us for.

Why the community needs us
Our volunteers help families to access services, attend medical appointments, help with budgeting, help with cooking basic recipes. We encourage the parent to interact with their child/children. Our support is "one parent supporting another parent" We aim to empower the parent to give their child/children the best start in life.

Our impact on the community
Last year, we supported 128 families with 293 children of which 189 were under 5. Our volunteers donated 2,699 hours.

Volunteers needed

Volunteers must be parents themselves, or have parenting experience. We provide a 10 week training programme.
