Horseman's Green Community Group

We provide a hall and hold activities and events that appeal to all residents in our rural community

We strongly believe the community needs a community hall on which to build the cohesion the community. We currently lease what was the scout hut in Horseman's Green which is used by both residents and those in the surrounding communities for many times of activities and events. We are raising funds to buy the building and to secure this for the future of the community, a large number of whom have fond memories of the building from their youth as scouts and guides

Why the community needs us
The varied activities and events on the hall calendar appeal to a wide range of people and age groups who would otherwise have no where to meet and enjoy each others company. All those in the surrounding villages and hamlets who don't have a place to meet are invited to take part. As there is no local play area, children now have a safe place to meet and take part in activities.Many of the older residents don't want to travel long distances so a meeting place in the community is a great benefit
