We are committed to the regeneration of HUCKNALL by tourism, offering services to locals and visitors alike. We operate FREE guided bus tours, during the summer, and can arrange FREE guided walks for interested parties. Through our Information Point in Hucknall Library, we offer bus, train and tram timetables, and leaflets for events, theatres, cinemas, etc. This Information Point is staffed, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm and Saturday morning.
Why the community needs usOf the above items l) enable our visiors and clients to take away a memento of their visit, 2) & 3) will help us to continue with our very popular FREE guided tours for future years.
Our impact on the communityLast summer, 294 people enjoyed one of our FREE guided bus tours, 56 enjoyed the full day one and 238 enjoyed one of the half day ones. In addition, approximately 80 people enjoyed one of our FREE guided walks around the town. With numbers in excess of 250 each month actually visiting our Information Point in the Hucknall Libary, this means that more than 3,300 people took advantage of our services during 2012.
The Group is always looking for additional volunteers to spend a couple hours each week talking to our visitors.
