Why the community needs usAn opportunity to meet and foster meaningful relationships with others. Our activities are open to and participated in by those from a variety of cultural backgrounds. This helps to improve the understanding of those not only from the South Asian communities but also of other communities. The services are designed to be as affordable as possible in order to be accessible to everyone. Our main activities are Elderly Day Centre, Afterschool Club, cultural, health and fitness activities.
Our impact on the communityA positive change in the lifestyle of the community and also helping it to advance. An improvement in the health and wellbeing of the elderly, children and women, some of who traditionally would not see this area as a priority in their lives. We see an opportunity to maintain and advance cultural heritage, arts and identity. Musical and performance arts are held and encouraged. Not only does this build an individual's skills, it also builds confidence, self-esteem and improves mental health.
