We are the local charity supporting adults with complex health and social needs in Nottingham.
Our mission is to offer an individualised service to enable people experiencing mental ill health and problems such as housing, benefits, offending, anti social behaviour, debt, poverty and addiction, to manage the challenges they face more effectively. We work with statutory and other voluntary services to ensure our clients are accessing all available help. Our work takes many forms and includes making and attending meetings with our clients and advocating with services on their behalf.
Why the community needs usOur support not only provides our service users with much needed access to resources but given the direct link between mental health issues and anti social behaviour, our early intervention can help create safer, more inclusive communities. We try and ensure that our service users become more self reliant and have appropriate people to turn to offer the correct support. This has been proven to ease pressure and costs to emergency services.
Our impact on the communityLast year we supported 150 people and this is what some of them had to say about the service. "Thanks, for the first time I feel like I've got a place in society, but it's still hard…" and "99% of the time I could get hold of you and I know my family did their best but you offered unconditional, non-judgmental advice".
