We are all about joyful, creative ways to improve equality and quality of life for women and girls in Derby, Derbyshire and beyond. Our special annual International Women's Day Festival is our flagship event, bringing together over 40 organisations, women's charities and services with the community; the festival combines stalls, HERstory exhibits, inspiring speakers, empowering workshops, liberating creative expression, powerful performances, stereotype-busting activities and activism, all made possible by volunteer power.
As a small voluntary group we are very resourceful and we make every pound count so your donation goes directly to difference-making activities, from our confidence-building Rebel Women's Choir to our Survivor Support Circles, from women's empowerment sessions to making giant puppets to celebrate inspiring women and girls #TakeUpSpace, from our work with agencies to improve gender equality in public policy and services to our wellbeing-boosting Self-Care Sundays - thank you for your support!

We welcome volunteers on a flexible basis - whatever you can give is much appreciated. We have opportunities for you to help us create engaging social media content, capturing our events via photography and filming skills, stewards for events and marches, admin support, fundraising and language translation and BSL Interpreters and generally helping out as part of our team effort to make a difference in Derby.
