Friends Service to keep you informed of development and project work that we are undertaking. You can join us as either an individual or take up a family membership for invitations to special events, lectures, exhibitions and social gatherings. We would also love to hear your stories, ideas, and memories of Josef Herman’s work; the life and times in which he lived; what his legacy means to you, Ystradgynlais and the people of Wales and how it may benefit future generations. This information may also help us to develop our community archive and inform future project activities.
Benefits of becoming a Friend Our annual membership year starts in September. Benefits include:
- Regular newsletters and information on events by email
- Friends will be offered discounted rates to workshops and lectures and will also be invited to private views of exhibitions.
- Invitations to social events and celebrations
- Helping us to achieve our goals in supporting the future development of the Foundation The challenge is to make the Foundation sustainable and to increase community use and participation.

The Josef Herman Art Foundation Cymru is a registered charity dedicated to promoting an appreciation of the life and work of the Polish emigre artist Josef Herman and in his name fostering a wider participation in the arts and an understanding of human rights. This is done through the annual Award for schools, exhibitions, events, lectures and support for the people's choice prize at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
